WEST ALLIS, Wis. – The Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded two $10,000 scholarships to third-year dental students enrolled in the Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Kirstin Marcks, from Tomahawk, Wis., was selected as one of the scholarship award recipients. Marcks received her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison. She plans to become an associate at a general practice or pursue a General Practice Residency (GPR).
The second scholarship award recipient is Kaitlyn Wilhelms of Waunakee, Wis. Wilhelms holds an undergraduate degree from Marquette University. Upon graduation from dental school, she plans to pursue a residency in endodontics or a General Practice Residency (GPR).
Marcks and Wilhelms rank in the top 20% of their class.
“We are proud to financially support the education of these high performing third-year dental students,” said Mark Spiegelhoff, executive director of the WDA Foundation.
The WDA Foundation has provided scholarships to Marquette University dental students since 2008, totaling more than $260,000.
