Washington County Caregiver Coalition: Offers Confident Caregiver Conference

WEST BEND, WI – The Washington County Caregiver Coalition is offering an event designed to provide Family Caregivers with the knowledge they need to provide safe, smart in-home care for loved ones. Most caregivers never planned to be caregivers, whether for a spouse, a parent, a sibling or a friend. As a result, most caregivers are not trained for many of the tasks that are necessary to provide care safely and confidently.

This day of training for family caregivers will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm at Moraine Park Technical College, L-2 Entrance, 2151 North Main Street, West Bend. Lunch will be provided. Registration fee is $5. Please make check payable to Washington County Treasurer. Mail check with your name, address and phone number to WCCC, c/o ADRC of Washington County, 333 E Washington St, Suite 1000, West Bend WI 53095.

Participants will attend three education sessions including: Assistive Technology, Care Management and Advocacy, and Service and Supports offered by the ADRC. There will also be a vendor fair so caregivers can learn about different services available in Washington County.

Pre-registration is required on a first come first served basis. Registration is due by May 19, 2025.
