MADISON, Wis. — Laura Gallagher, Founder and President of The Creative Company, Inc. will represent Wisconsin at the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit in Washington, D.C., on October 29–30, 2025. The event is the largest convening of small business owners in the nation. It will bring together more than 2,200 entrepreneurs from across the United States to advocate for small business priorities on Capitol Hill.
Gallagher joins a powerful network of business owners advancing economic empowerment, innovation, and equitable growth. “Women entrepreneurs play a vital role in shaping our economy and our communities,” said Laura Gallagher, a 2017 graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses National Cohort. “When women build strong businesses, they build strong families, neighborhoods, and futures. This Summit gives us the opportunity to use our voices to influence national policy and ensure women-owned businesses have a seat at the table.”
The two-day Summit will feature thought leadership from some of the most influential business and policy figures in America, including Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Michael Bloomberg, Michael Phelps, Hamdi Ulukaya (Chobani), Kat Cole (AG1), Ken Langone (The Home Depot), Nancy Twine (Briogeo), Anastasia Soare (Anastasia Beverly Hills) and Ethan Mollick (The Wharton School).
Gallagher founded The Creative Company, Inc. in 1989 and has grown it into an award-winning public relations and marketing agency representing clients nationwide. Under her leadership, the firm was named Dane County’s Small Business of the Year (2022) and Gallagher has been recognized as Wisconsin’s SBA’s Women in Business Champion of the Year (2019) and a Wisconsin Trailblazer (2016) by the Wisconsin Women’s Council. The Creative Company is certified as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (SBE) by the State of Wisconsin and a Women Business Enterprise by the City of Madison (WBE). Gallagher also owns Mathetria Press, LLC, a publishing company and is the author of several books.
“The opportunity to connect with other women leaders and champion policies that support growth, innovation, and access to capital for women-owned businesses is incredibly important,” Gallagher said. “Together, we can shape a future where more women have the tools and confidence to lead.”
Now celebrating its 15th year, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses has invested more than $750 million in entrepreneurial education and access to capital, reaching over 17,000 small business owners nationwide, including many women-led enterprises. The program’s advocacy arm, 10,000 Small Businesses Voices, amplifies those perspectives in Washington and beyond — ensuring small business owners, particularly women and underrepresented founders, are heard.
