These awards celebrate achievements in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, highlighting businesses that set benchmarks for sustainable innovation and drive meaningful impact within their industries and communities.

The 2025 Sustainable Business Award Winners are:
- Sustainable Product of the Year: Peel and Stick Tin Can End by Roaster
- Innovative Service of the Year: CleanMile, by Breakthrough, a US Venture Company
- Executive Sustainable Leader of the Year: Glen Heitkamp, VP of Engineering and Building Optimization, PACE Equity
- Sustainability Champion of the Year: Emily James, Environmental Sustainability Manger, Generac
This year, SBC also presented the prestigious Thomas L. Eggert Leadership Forward Award to Kathy Kuntz, Director of the Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change.
We are proud to recognize Kathy for her tireless commitment to advancing sustainability, her ability to break down barriers, and her inspirational leadership that continues to shape the future of environmental stewardship in Wisconsin. Her work has bridged divides, inspired youth, and fostered healthy dialogue and innovation, embodying the spirit of collaboration and impact that define this award.
Named in honor of Thomas L. Eggert, WSBC founder and Executive Director Emeritus, the Leadership Forward Award celebrates individuals who carry forward his legacy of optimism, partnership, and progress. Kathy’s relentless optimism and unwavering commitment to what’s possible continues to motivate all who strive for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
