Reader Precision Solutions: Hosts international precision machining delegation tour

ELKHORN, WI – June 17, 2025 – Reader Precision Solutions, a leader in precision machined parts, components, and engineered solutions, was selected as a premier U.S. host site for the internationally renowned Syndicat International du Décolletage (SID) Congress 2025. On Monday, June 9th, the company welcomed over 115 international delegates at their facility as part of this global precision manufacturing event.

The biennial SID Congress brought together decision-makers and innovators from across Europe and North America to explore best practices, emerging technologies, and cultural connections shaping the future of advanced manufacturing. Throughout its long standing history, SID Congress has been hosted in Spain, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and beyond. This year’s tour and business meetings, held primarily in the Chicagoland and Southeast Wisconsin regions, made a stop at Reader Precision’s newly renovated 130,000-square-foot headquarters in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to open our doors to global leaders in precision manufacturing and share the innovations, values, and craftsmanship that define who we are,” said Michael J Reader, Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Reader Precision. “Being chosen as a host site reflects the international confidence and interest in American manufacturing —particularly the kind that’s built on collaboration, capability, and long-term commitment to excellence.”

Delegates representing premier industry associations from countries and regions in Catalonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States toured Reader Precision’s facility, where they experienced firsthand the company’s world-class Swiss Cam, Swiss CNC, and conventional CNC machining platforms, many of which have been part of the company’s recent multimillion-dollar reinvestment strategy.

“This wasn’t just a tour. It gave us the platform to demonstrate what’s possible when precision, purpose, and people converge,” said Michael P. Reader, President at Reader Precision. “Our teams were incredibly excited to showcase the technology, processes and culture that support consistent delivery of high-complexity, tight-tolerance components to some of the world’s most demanding industries.”

In addition to manufacturing demonstrations, delegates engaged with Reader Precision’s engineering, operations, business development and administrative teams. They also explored the company’s award-winning manufacturing and took part in curated cultural experiences that reflect the spirit of the Midwest.
