Sturtevant, WI — The Village of Sturtevant (The Village), in collaboration with Racine County Economic Development Corporation (RCEDC) is pleased to announce support for Grand Appliance’s upcoming facility expansion in Sturtevant.
After purchasing approximately 11.23 acres and relocating to the Village of Sturtevant in 2017, Grand Appliance has invested in the construction of a 137,000 SF industrial building, creating an assessed value of $8,040,400. The company’s new expansion project will include a 48,000-square-foot addition to its current facility with a total investment of $4.5 million. The expansion is projected to create 15 new jobs over the next three years, offering an average annual salary of $55,000.
To ensure the project’s success, Grand Appliance will receive development assistance in the form of Tax Incremental Financing through the Village’s TID #4. This support allows Grand Appliance to move forward with its investment and maintain its strong presence in the community.
“Partnering with RCEDC and the Village of Sturtevant has been instrumental in moving our expansion forward. This project not only strengthens Grand Appliance’s ability to grow and serve our customers, but also reinforces our long-term commitment to Sturtevant. The Village’s support helps bridge the gap in development costs and makes it possible for us to continue investing right here in the community.” - Jesse Mofit, Vice President of Operations, Grand Appliance
“Grand Appliance’s decision to expand here is a strong endorsement of Sturtevant and Racine County as great places to do business. This project not only secures new jobs and investment, but also demonstrates the long-term partnerships between RCEDC, the Village of Sturtevant, and local employers.” – Jordan Brown, Corporate Attraction Market Lead, RCEDC
This project demonstrates the commitment of RCEDC and the Village of Sturtevant to help facilitate the growth of businesses that choose to locate in Racine County.
