MADISON, Wis. – Nordic®, a global health and technology consulting company, announced today its partnership with Operation Song, a 501(c) (3) committed to empowering veterans, active-duty military members, and their families by telling their stories through the process of songwriting.
Through this partnership, Nordic will support Operation Song’s mission by providing donations that will support programming and retreats for veterans and their families. According to a 2024 annual report from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, while progress continues being made in veteran mental health and suicide prevention, there is still much work to be done to ensure they receive the comprehensive care and resources they need.
“As a healthcare leader and military veteran, partnering with a nonprofit committed to veteran wellness resonated with me,” said Paul Slaughter, chief operating officer, Nordic. “Given the unique challenges that come with military deployment and missions, providing veterans and their families a unique way to heal is essential for long-term health. We are honored to have the opportunity to help veterans and positively serve our mission through this partnership.”
Additionally, the collaboration with Operation Song will allow Nordic’s employee-led resource group, the Veterans Engagement Team and Support (VETS), to continue building on its goals as an organization that supports the career development and growth of veterans
“We are thankful for the support from partners like Nordic that allow us to succeed in our mission to bring healing to Warriors and their families through storytelling,” said Mike Byer, Executive Director, Operation Song. “In creating the country’s largest catalogue of songs about the camaraderie, bravery, and heroism of service, our vision is a song for every veteran and, through support of our partners, we can reach more veterans in more places across the country.”
