Kenosha Area Business Alliance: Concept Labs to host a grand opening celebration as it officially opens its new facility in Pleasant Prairie

[Kenosha, WI] – On September 18, 2025, Concept Labs is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of its new 196,000 SF facility in the Village of Pleasant Prairie.

“Our new facility in Pleasant Prairie represents a key step in our long-term growth strategy and operational objectives,” said Concept Labs CEO Jordan Heifitz. “We were attracted to this location for its highly skilled workforce, strategic central location, and the strong support and commitment from both the county and the state—not only in investing in our future, but also in making us feel at home.”

Concept Labs develops, formulates, manufactures, and packages skin, body and hair care products for some of the most well-known brands in the industry. Products that will be manufactured at the Pleasant Prairie facility include lotions, creams, washes, serums, oils, shampoos, and conditioners to name a few product formats.

“As a center for manufacturing, we make many things in Kenosha County. And now, to welcome Concept Labs — a manufacturer and packager of hair, skin and body care products — it’s truly a beautiful addition to our corporate landscape,” remarked Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman. “I’m pleased to welcome the company and its headquarters to our county, the Gateway to Wisconsin.”

Concept Labs is consolidating four facilities in the City of Chicago into one building located at 10550 86th Ave. in Pleasant Prairie’s LakeView Corporate Park. The new space houses the company’s HQ as well as manufacturing, quality, and R & D operations.

The new facility allows the company to accommodate their growth, giving them the necessary space for a more efficient layout and modernized equipment to allow for increased capabilities.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is assisting Concept Labs performance based business tax credits. The amount of credits the company will receive is contingent on meeting capital investment and job creation goals.

“We’re excited to welcome Concept Labs to Wisconsin,” said Missy Hughes, secretary and CEO of WEDC, the state’s lead economic development agency. “Their decision is another example of businesses recognizing Wisconsin offers the skilled workforce, welcoming communities, and supportive business environment needed to succeed and thrive.”

The Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) is supporting the expansion project with an award from its High Impact Fund. The High Impact fund is financed by Kenosha County and administered by KABA to incentivize economic development projects that have a significant impact on our community.

“Concept Labs embodies all of the ideals we look for when recruiting companies to Kenosha County,” said KABA President Nicole Ryf. “Their family-owned company values their employees, gives back to the community, and manufactures high-quality products. We are thrilled that Concept Labs chose Kenosha County, and we look forward to partnering with them as they continue to grow here.”

Concept Labs is one of many new companies recently choosing to site their relocated operations or expansions in Kenosha County, and especially Pleasant Prairie, including Lilly, Smurfit Westrock, ion Education, Schutz Container, and PurposeBuilt Brands.

“We are proud to welcome Concept Laboratories to Pleasant Prairie,” said Village President David Klimisch. “Consolidating four locations into a state-of-the-art facility is a testament to the confidence Concept Labs has in the Pleasant Prairie community. This investment showcases the reputation of Pleasant Prairie as a hub for innovation and growth.”

“We are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of Concept Labs in southeastern Wisconsin,” said Rebecca Gries, Executive Director of Milwaukee 7. “An innovative company like Concept Labs choosing to relocate its headquarters and manufacturing operations to our region is a testament to our experienced and skilled talent pipeline and our ability to support businesses that are driving innovation and growth in their industry.”
