APPLETON, WI – Richard Elrod has been named president of Herrling Clark Law Firm, which was founded more than 60 years ago in Appleton and now serves clients throughout the Fox Valley with additional offices in Green Bay, Oshkosh, and Waupaca.
As firm president, Elrod replaces partner Greg Curtis, who will stay on at Herrling Clark and continue his business law practice.
“Rich has demonstrated leadership within our firm for many years while building his successful personal injury legal practice. Given his legal and business acumen along with his knowledge and passion for the Fox Valley area, Rich is a natural fit to lead Herrling Clark,” said Curtis, the firm’s immediate past president.
The firm also extends its gratitude to Curtis for his leadership over the past 2.5 years as firm president and looks forward to his ongoing work at Herrling Clark.
Elrod has handled complex litigation matters in front of both the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, including oral arguments in front of each court. He was appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to serve three terms on the District Committee of the Office of Lawyer Regulation, which oversees the ethical and professional conduct of all attorneys admitted to practice within the state of Wisconsin.
He is also a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice, including serving on the organization’s board of governors. Additionally, he has also served as president of the Salvation Army Advisory Board and has held multiple positions with United Way.
