Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation: Celebrates ten years of impact and launches “Future in Focus” strategic plan and investment campaign

Oshkosh, Wis., May 14, 2025— Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation (GOEDC) is commemorating its tenth anniversary today while officially launching its 2025–2029 Future in Focus Investment Campaign, a five-year initiative designed to accelerate regional growth and innovation.

During its first decade, GOEDC’s public-private partnership has supported 28 corporate expansions,
fostered $471 million in new capital investment, created 1,131 new jobs, and retained 2,482 positions
across Winnebago County. Many major projects and initiatives have transformed the landscape and
strengthened the region’s economic stability. Additionally, GOEDC’s access to capital programs have
injected more than $13 million in net new investment through the distribution of $2.3 million in gap
financing loans and grants to local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Greater Oshkosh EDC was honored to receive a proclamation from City of Oshkosh Mayor Matt
Mugerauer and the Oshkosh City Council, recognizing May 14, 2025, as Greater Oshkosh Economic
Development Corporation Day in the City of Oshkosh. The proclamation states: “In celebrating this
milestone, we commend and express our deepest gratitude to the Greater Oshkosh Economic
Development Corporation for its enduring commitment to economic excellence and community
investment.”

The organization now looks ahead to continued regional success with the launch of its new five-year
strategic initiative, Future in Focus.

“Ten years ago, we set out to build an engine for economic opportunity, and the results speak for
themselves,” said Tricia Rathermel, President and CEO of GOEDC. “Our new Future in Focus campaign
will channel this momentum into targeted programs that help employers grow, attract talent, and spark innovation.”

The Future in Focus strategic plan centers on three key pillars for the region’s future: a Thriving Economy, a Community Built for Workforce, and a Culture of Innovation. In conjunction with the initiative’s launch, GOEDC is conducting an investment campaign to secure the funding necessary for full implementation.

The team has already raised $2.7 million toward its $3.2 million goal. With the required funding and
support, the initiative is projected to retain an additional 1,500 jobs, create 300 new positions, and
generate $250 million in net new investment for the greater Oshkosh area and Winnebago County.

Board Chair Dan Ruedinger added, “Our first decade proves what’s possible when we invest together. As we launch the Future in Focus campaign, the next ten years hold even greater promise for Oshkosh and Winnebago County.”
