Milwaukee, WI – September 16, 2025 – The Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors® Young Professionals Network (GMAR YPN) is leading its second annual Pack the Truck initiative on Tuesday, September 23 at 8:30 a.m. to deliver urgently needed supplies to the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI).
MHVI provides food and essential household items to more than 100 veterans and their families each week. Without outside help, the organization risks turning veterans away.
GMAR YPN began collecting items on July 31, 2025, through an Amazon Wishlist and community partnerships. Many local businesses and organizations also hosted mini-drives at their offices and buildings to support the effort.
This marks the second year GMAR YPN has fundraised for MHVI. In 2024, the initiative collected enough donations to sustain the pantry through the fall season. With the current outpouring of support, the group is close to achieving the same impact this year.
On September 23, GMAR YPN members and volunteers will load a truck with the donated supplies and deliver them to MHVI to restock the shelves.
How the Community Can Still Help
The need extends beyond this delivery. Community members are encouraged to:
– Purchase items through the Amazon Wishlist – After September 23, donations will be shipped directly to MHVI.
– Share GMAR YPN’s social media and Reddit posts to keep awareness and donations flowing.
