First American Capital Corporation: Welcomes Operations Support Associate, Dillon Dropik, to the team

(Hales Corners, WI) — First American Capital Corporation, Inc. (FACC) is excited to start the new year by welcoming Dillon Dropik, as an Operations Support Associate. Dillon joins FACC with a strong commitment to helping Native businesses thrive through financial and technical support assistance.

With a bachelor’s degree in economics from Thomas Edison State University, Dillon is pursuing a master’s in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin–Extension and will graduate this fall. Dillon brings robust experience in creating sustainable business practices, leveraging technology, and applying economic insights to support organizational goals. Most recently, he served as the Data & Health Information Manager at the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center.

Dillon is eager to continue serving Native communities in his new role at FACC. “What drew me to this position was the opportunity to continue working with the Indigenous community, to which I belong, as well as other underserved communities, and to help broaden access to resources,” said Dillon. “What excites me most about this work is the endless opportunities to expand all that FACC does to make an even larger impact on the clients we serve and their communities.”

As a solutions-driven individual, Dillon will play a critical role in facilitating day-to-day operations, supporting internal functions, ensuring compliance, generating reporting, and harnessing technology to enhance client services.

“All First American Capital Corporation, Inc. personnel are pleased with Dillon joining Team FACC. Dillon is already collaborating with staff to increase efficiencies associated with client data collection/management/reporting for FACC’s business education and technical assistance program. Dillon’s Indigenous heritage, higher education degrees and professional experience align well with the FACC Native business resourcing mission and the systems that support the key functional areas of FACC operations – with Dillon initially focusing on supporting the FACC bookkeeping/accounting and loan portfolio management systems,” according to Gary Mejchar, FACC Co-Executive Director/Development.

Outside of his professional work, Dillon is an avid runner and hockey player, bringing his driven spirit to all aspects of his life.

Through the support of funding partners like the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), and Small Business Administration (SBA), FACC continues to amplify its sustainable and impactful work by providing access to capital and growing the FACC business technical assistance program and educational workshop series while strengthening internal talent. These funders provide capacity-building opportunities that directly impact on our clients and, ultimately, our communities with measurable outcomes.
