Envision Greater Green Bay: To host fourth annual World Futures Day

Green Bay, Wis. – Envision Greater Green Bay will host their fourth annual local World Futures Day on Feb. 28, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Oneida Conference Center. World Futures Day is a global initiative designed to facilitate thought and discussion on the future’s challenges, opportunities and responsibilities. The local World Futures Day event is aimed at helping the greater Green Bay community shape a preferred future for our region based on proven foresight strategies.

Jonathan Brill, the “#1 ranked futurist in the world,” according to Forbes Magazine, and best-selling author, will headline this year’s event. According to Amazon’s head of innovation, Doug Warner, “His [Brill’s] rigorous, unifying message drives results.” Heidi Selberg, board president of Envision Greater Green Bay, shares that this year’s event will have a distinctly local focus. “We bring in a highly respected, acclaimed futurist as our keynote speaker,” she said, “but, for us, it’s all about the future of the greater Green Bay community. Our audience will be local and the program we have planned will engage them in thought-provoking discussion about our needs and aspirations right here in Northeast Wisconsin.”

In addition to Brill’s inspiring two-part presentation, Envision Greater Green Bay’s leadership will be sharing results achieved by its five Signals Teams over the past three years. The Signals Teams are responsible for scanning for signals of change in trends, events and choices likely to impact the future of Greater Green Bay. Each team has a unique focus, including Livable Neighborhoods; Upward Mobility; Health and Well-Being; Leading Edge Economy; and Arts, Culture and Entertainment. The goal, said Selberg, is to learn how to work together to shape a community of choice.

The event is open to the public and costs $75 per person or $650 for a table of 10. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Registration is open now at https://envisionggb.org/world-futures-day-february-28-2025/.

Local businesses and philanthropic organizations are invited to sponsor the event by contacting Susan Garot at 920-621-9100.
