LA CROSSE, Wis. — Agrace continues its rapid growth across the state of Wisconsin with the opening of a new office in La Crosse, a western-Wisconsin city of 52,000 located along the Mississippi River. Since its founding in Madison, Wis., in 1978, Agrace has provided exceptional care for the state’s residents who are in the final months of life.
The new Agrace location gives residents of La Crosse County greater choice for high-quality, in-home hospice care. County residents can enroll with Wisconsin’s largest nonprofit hospice to receive hospice care that comes to them where they live—in private homes, long-term care facilities or any other place they call home.
“Over our 47-year history, Agrace has had the privilege of helping more than 100,000 people deal with serious illness, particularly as it relates to their end-of-life care,” said Agrace President and CEO Lynne Sexten. “With the addition of our newest office in La Crosse, Agrace continues to rapidly expand our geographic footprint to meet the growing needs of the aging population in smaller cities, and isolated, rural or underserved areas of the upper Midwest.”
As a nonprofit health care organization, Agrace can prioritize investing directly into enhanced patient care, finding new ways to support people who are aging, seriously ill or dying. In line with its mission, Agrace is pursuing further growth in its existing 20-county service area in southern Wisconsin, as well as expansion into additional Wisconsin counties and new markets in adjacent states.
Anyone can refer a patient to Agrace Hospice Care. A doctor’s referral is not required to contact us and ask about care. Agrace admits patients to hospice seven days a week, including holidays. For questions or to request an informational visit, call (608) 276-4660 or visit Agrace.org/Refer.
