The AbbyBank Foundation, Inc. recently awarded $2,500 to COTS, Inc. to support the installation of a dedicated e-bike charging station for residents living in their transitional shelter program.
The new charging station will be located in the organization’s bike shed, providing a safe, accessible, and weather-protected area for residents to charge their electric bikes. This addition will make it easier for residents to use their e-bikes as reliable transportation to work, appointments, and other daily activities, promoting greater independence and self-sufficiency.
“Transportation is a key factor in helping individuals achieve stability and independence,” said Rob Diedrich, AVP/Branch Manager and Mortgage Loan Officer at AbbyBank’s Appleton location. “We’re proud to support COTS, Inc. in their mission to empower residents and remove barriers to success.”
The AbbyBank Foundation was formed in 1986 as a private charitable foundation of AbbyBank, which has contributed over $1,826,300 to the foundation. Since 1986, the foundation has made donations to Abbotsford, Appleton, Gresham, Medford, Shawano, Wausau, Weston, and neighboring area organizations totaling over $1,413,830.91.
