Healthline First Aid: Offering American Red Cross babysitter certification course

Greenfield, Wis. – Do you remember your first job? For many American teens and pre-teens, that opportunity presents itself as a babysitting gig…but the promise of payment comes with significant responsibility. On Saturday, Oct. 12, Healthline First Aid, an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider in Greenfield, will host a babysitter certification course for children 11-15 years old.

“As a father, I know how important it is to be confident you are leaving your child in the care of a qualified and responsible babysitter,” said Andrew Berger, a nationally registered EMT-paramedic and owner of Healthline First Aid. “The American Red Cross Babysitter Certification Course provides essential training to prepare adolescents to take care of infants and children.”

Training topics will include:

  • Basic childcare and first aid
  • Keeping children safe and helping them behave
  • Developing leadership skills
  • Building a babysitter business

The course is designed for future babysitters between the ages of 11-15, but younger children may attend if their parent/guardian feels they are ready for the course.
