Disability:IN: Newton assumes role of Wisconsin Executive Director

MILWAUKEE – Disability:IN Wisconsin, Wisconsin’s only business association dedicated to disability inclusion in the workplace, announced the appointment of Saul Newton as the organization’s new Executive Director. With a proven track record of leadership in the disability inclusion field, Newton brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing disability inclusion and accessibility in the workplace.

As the newly appointed Executive Director, Newton will lead Disability:IN Wisconsin in its mission to empower businesses to achieve disability inclusion and equality. This includes working closely with employers, disability-owned businesses, and community organizations to create a more inclusive and accessible workforce.

Newton has a strong background in disability advocacy and has played a pivotal role in advancing inclusion initiatives throughout his career. A service-disabled US Army veteran, Newton founded the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and served as the organization’s President & CEO for the last eight years. He has demonstrated a passion for breaking down barriers and promoting diversity and inclusion within organizations.

“We are excited to welcome Saul as our new Executive Director,” said Alyssa Ryanjoy, Chair of Disability:IN Wisconsin’s Board of Directors. “We believe he will bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to further our mission and drive positive change in our community.”

“I am honored and humbled to lead Disability:IN Wisconsin in its mission to promote disability inclusion,” said Newton. “I am committed to working collaboratively with our partners to create workplaces that are accessible, diverse, and inclusive for individuals with disabilities.”

Newton officially assumed the role of Executive Director on January 1 following the retirement of the organization’s founding Executive Director Judy Quigley at the end of the year. He looks forward to working with the dedicated team at Disability:IN Wisconsin, as well as collaborating with stakeholders, to achieve meaningful progress in the disability inclusion space.
