MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – MobCraft Beer is hosting their fifth annual Sour Fest on Saturday, March 25, 2022 from 12pm-7pm in the taproom and brewery located at 505 5th Street in Milwaukee. Sour Fest is a hybrid of a traditional beer fest, a pop-up bottle shop, and a taproom party. MobCraft’s taproom will be free and open to the public until 11:00pm with Wild & Sour beer taking over the MobCraft Beer draft lines.

  • Over 25 MobCraft Wild and Sour beers will be tapped throughout the day. Admission to the taproom is free and open to the public.
  • Sour Fest also features the Wisconsin Wild and Sour Sampling Sessions which highlights Sour beers from some of Wisconsin’s best craft breweries. VIP ticket holders also get access to the taproom and bottle shop 30 minutes prior to opening. General admission sessions run from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm. Tickets for both GA sessions are $50.  All sessions include unlimited samples and a commemorative sampling glass. Tickets for all tasting sessions can be purchased here. • Wild and Sour beers from MobCraft and the guest breweries will be available for purchase in the pop-up bottle shop which is open to the public.
  • Not a Sour beer fan? Select non-sour beer options will be available on draft throughout the day.

MobCraft Founder and CEO Henry Schwartz says, “We are excited to be hosting our fifth annual Sour Fest that showcases the awesome variety of this beer style. Sour Fest is a great chance for us to show off the extensive MobCraft Sour portfolio along with all of the great brewers in Wisconsin that make this style of beer which we love so much. This year’s lineup is our best yet!”

MobCraft Events Manager, Elise Strupp, adds, “”Sour Fest is my favorite festival to plan.  By the end of March it seems that people are eager to get out and do something different, and what better activity than a beer fest?  It’s fun to see so many people come out for the Wild & Sour Sampling Sessions, and it’s great for all of us who work at breweries to get to see each other after the long winter.”

In addition to MobCraft, other participating breweries in the Wisconsin Wild & Sour sampling sessions include 1840 Brewing Company, Amorphic Beer, Badger State Brewing Company, Component Brewing Company, Oliphant Brewing, Radix Fermentation, Rookery Brewing Company, Sahale Ale Works, Supermoon Bere Company, Sway Brewing + Blending and Young Blood Beer Company.

About MobCraft Beer

MobCraft Beer was founded in 2013 by Henry Schwartz and Andrew Gierczak. It is the world’s first crowdsourced brewery. MobCraft’s locations are 505 S. 5th Street in the Walker’s Point neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI and 2403 Champa Street in the Curtis Park neighborhood of Denver, CO. Throughout the year the crowd submits and votes on beer ideas. At the end of the vote, the winning beer is brewed and available for all to enjoy. These crowdsourced beers are served in the taproom with MobCraft flagships, beers from their Wild & Sour Program, and more.
