[Madison, WI]: Impact Association Management announced a new partnership with The Maryland Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA). This partnership will assist MANA in its mission to ensure patient safety and access to quality care, increase public awareness of the organization and its roles and functions, and protect Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and their practices.
“As we considered association management companies (AMC), we knew we needed an AMC that could provide substantial, consistent support for MANA’s operations,” said Alexie Smith, DNP, CRNA, President of MANA. “Conversations with Jodi, Kirsten, and the Impact team members provided great confidence that Impact would be able to support the immediate needs of our organization. I am extremely delighted to welcome Impact to Maryland as our new management company. Thus far, the team members have been extremely supportive, professional, flexible, and well organized. I look forward to a successful partnership and an amazing year alongside our new team!”
Founded in 1946, the Maryland Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA) is a chapter of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA). The AANA has a remarkable history of serving its members by supporting the ability of CRNAs to function in their full scope of practice; maintain professionalism by continuing education and maintaining high care standards; advocating the advancement of CRNA practice and ensuring access to safe, cost-effective anesthesia services; offering innovative solutions via CRNA empowerment, research, and implementation of evidence-based practice; and promoting diversity and inclusion. Maryland residents of AANA automatically become members of MANA, giving them access to a wide range of benefits, including the most current data on nurse anesthesia and patient safety, professional resources, and continuing education opportunities.
Additionally, MANA supports its members through advocacy efforts like the MANA Political Action Committee (PAC). Funds collected through the PAC are used to support CRNA candidates, improve educational opportunities, support legislative efforts for local CRNAs, etc. Impact will work with the MANA board members to support the PAC and ensure information about the association’s advocacy and legislative efforts is communicated to its members.
“MANA came to us with a strong desire to enhance their organizational structure, ensuring effective communication with their members, increasing participation in their events, and more,” said Jodi Fisher, CEO and Founder of Impact Association Management. “We look forward to jumping right in by creating an actionable plan to help them achieve these goals, grow their membership, and spend more time focusing on their larger association mission.”
