Light the Hoan: Partners with Miller Lite to shine a light on non-profits

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Light the Hoan “Shine a Light” program was created to highlight the great work of Milwaukee’s non-profit community. Entering its third year, Light the Hoan is excited to announce that Miller Lite will be the presenting sponsor of the program and its new name will be “Shine a Lite.”

Participants in the Shine a Lite program will have the opportunity to light the Hoan in the colors of their choice for one night. The organizations have the opportunity to tell their story, raise funds, and build a broader audience for their work. Their mission is also
highlighted on Light the Hoan’s website, and showcased on social media channels for
their followers to see. Light the Hoan will donate 100% of the proceeds from that day’s
bulb dedications to the non-profit which results in every dollar being reinvested in the
people of Milwaukee and surrounding areas.

“Our Shine a Lite program aligns to our mission, and demonstrates that we are more than just lights on a bridge,” said Erika Smith, Executive Director of Light the Hoan. “The bridge brings people together, and allows everyone an opportunity to be a part of Milwaukee.”

to send positive messages of unity throughout our community and we are excited to be a
part of uplifting these organization’s missions.”
