Elmbrook Education Foundation: To award over 40 scholarships

Brookfield, WI – February 17, 2023 — The Elmbrook Education Foundation (EEF) will administer and award over 40 scholarships to graduating Elmbrook seniors in 2023. Through generous donors within our community, eight new scholarships are available this year.

“The Elmbrook Education Foundation’s Scholarship Program would not be possible if not for the generosity of individuals or groups of individuals in our community. Our scholarships are in memory of a loved one, in honor of an accomplishment or simply a celebration from our PTO’s and parent groups. We are honored to be entrusted with this mission,” said Beth Dobrzynski, EEF Executive Director.

The application window will open February 17th and close on March 17th . The link can be found at https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logonurlkey=elmbrookfdn The Scholarship Committee is made up of EEF board members and community volunteers. Each application is assigned a number to ensure a blind read and eliminate any potential bias. Scholarships will be awarded at Senior Honors Nights at both high schools.

Carrie Bown, EEF Scholarship Chair, said, “Students graduating from the School District of Elmbrook are the leaders of tomorrow. Having the opportunity to learn of their accomplishments and dedication to improving our community is truly inspiring. This year we will be able to honor over 40 students by alleviating part of the financial weight of higher education thanks to the
support of our generous donors.”

EEF was organized in 1958 to award scholarships to select Elmbrook School District high school graduates. In 1999, the Foundation’s mission expanded to include teacher grants for innovative projects that benefit all students and raise money to support and strengthen outstanding learning ideas that improve the overall educational quality of our public schools. EEF has awarded over
$1,500,000 in scholarships and $500,000 in grants which enhance and extend the established curriculum and support projects that are beyond the district’s budget.
