The City of Janesville and Downtown Janesville, Inc. (DJI) are thrilled to announce that Music at the Marv, presented by Mercyhealth, Janesville’s free weekly summer concert series, will begin on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Weather permitting, each Music at the Marv concert will begin at 6:30 PM at Lower Courthouse Park in Janesville. Here is the 2022 lineup:
June 7: Sunset Strip
Hailing from Rockford, Sunset Strip is an award-winning 80’s Glam / Hairband Tribute band. Their shows are a fast-paced, kinetic spectacle, taking you back to the heyday of the 80’s Hairband scene!
June 14: Rainbow Bridge Band
Janesville favorites the Rainbow Bridge Band have been rocking since 1976. They play a variety of music, including classic rock, 80’s, country and some oldies, and have a polished sound and great vocals.
June 21: Dem Horny Funkers
Dem Horny Funkers were formed in 2016 to bring a unique offering to the Janesville area music scene. They feature a raucous mix of rock and roll favorites and an amazing horn section.
June 28: The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra
The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra, now in its sixty-seventh year, is the professional symphony orchestra of Rock County. Beginning as a volunteer community orchestra in 1953 at Beloit College, it has grown into a respected regional orchestra in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
July 5: The Brothers Quinn
The Brothers Quinn is a 4-piece band hailing from Fort Atkinson. They play everything from Blues to indie folk, and Celtic music to rock. You will not want to miss this dynamic quartet!
July 12: The Smoky Nights
Vibrant, soulful, and energetic music from the heart of Tennessee! Janesville native Anthony Nguyen and his wife Lily lead this powerhouse – a fresh and interesting blend of soul, pop, folk, and R&B music that combines guitar, mandolin, & violin with catchy harmonies and hooks.
July 19: The Jimmys (Presented by Lark)
The Jimmys combine the seasoned keyboard and Hammond B-3 organ talents of Jimmy Voegeli, legendary blues guitarist Perry Weber on six-strings and vocals, drummer Chris Sandoval, the expertise of southern Wisconsin’s finest bass guitar, and rounded out by an amazing horn section!
July 26: Kirstie Kraus
Janesville native and Nashville Recording Artist Kirstie Kraus comes back to her hometown bringing her own unique signature country sound that combines a mixture of bluesy pop rock undertones with funky bass lines. Kirstie’s music is very uplifting with catchy, unique melodies with lots of movement and dynamics.
August 2: Weird Science (Presented by Johnson Financial Group) Weird Science is not your ordinary cover band. This group insists on offering fans of live music something they just can’t get anywhere else: classic 80’s party music remade into modern power-pop. Extremely high-energy Rock & Roll that’s FUN!
August 9: The Mercynaries (Mercyhealth Night at the Marv)
The Mercynaries, a nine-piece musical ensemble based in Janesville, features a solid rhythm and horn section led by two premier vocalists. These “musical ambassadors” for Mercyhealth deliver an exciting blend of music from a variety of genres, including contemporary top 40 hits, classic rock and more.
August 16: The Joel Baer Big Band
The Joel Baer Big Band is a dedicated group of musicians keeping the American Big Band tradition alive. These talented musicians will put on an unforgettable show that you won’t want to miss!
August 23: That 90’s Band
What do Vanilla Ice, Green Day, Alanis Morrisette, and Nirvana all have in common? They’re part of the set list of hottest hits performed by the award-winning That 90’s Band. That 90’s Band recreates the soaring vocals, gritty guitars, and distinctive hip-hop samples of the wide spectrum of 90’s music.
August 30: The Britins
Beatles tribute band the Britins recreate the era that influenced so many top groups and artists today. Join The Britins as they play hits from the Fab Four, from “Love Me Do” to “Let It Be”. Follow along on a Magical Mystery Tour of sights and sounds through that remarkable era of the 1960’s, recreated in authentic Beatles gear.

Local food and beverage vendors, including Gray Brewing Company and Sandwich Bar, will be present during each concert. DJI will announce the full list of vendors in mid May.
