On Broadway: Kocken rejoins staff

GREEN BAY, Wis. — On Broadway, Inc. is excited to announce the hiring of Chelsea Kocken as the new Director of Special Projects. This position is a direct result of the recent public market announcement. A dedicated staff person will help move this large-scale redevelopment project forward as we enter the next phases. There are also several other projects in the works that need special attention.

Kocken previously worked with On Broadway, Inc. for three and a half years from 2017 to 2020 as the Director of Special Events before being elevated to Assistant Director.
“I am excited to be back in the Broadway District and working on exciting projects that will continue to grow our downtown,” said Kocken. “There is so much energy in this organization and from the community to bring projects like the public market to life, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to be part of it.”

Kocken’s experience with community events has given her the opportunity to work with businesses on recruitment and retention, event participation, and sponsorship generation. She has worked with a number of organizations to help drive projects, events and ideas to the finish line.

“Chelsea was an integral part of our team before the pandemic and we couldn’t be more thrilled to add her back to our roster, positively impacting the Broadway District,” said Brian Johnson, executive director, On Broadway, Inc. “It underscores the importance of maintaining healthy relationships and reflects the way we do business with entrepreneurs, vendors, property owners, sponsors, and personnel. Everyone has a vital role to play with advancing the district and Chelsea will have a critical one with advancing special projects including the public market proposal.”

Kocken is from Green Bay. She is married with two kids and a dog. In 2021, Kocken was a Future15 recipient.
