Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce: Andrew Davis appointed to VP of governmental affairs

MILWAUKEE — As part of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s advocacy efforts for the Milwaukee Region’s business community, Andrew Davis has been promoted to Vice President of Governmental Affairs.

Davis has been a member of MMAC’s government affairs department for nearly a decade, most recently serving as Director of Governmental Affairs.

In his role, Davis oversees strategy and execution of MMAC’s legislative agenda, which currently includes establishing new revenue tools to ensure fiscal stability for the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County, ensuring more high-quality seats in metro Milwaukee K-12 schools and modernizing the I-94 East-West corridor.

“Andrew is an experienced and enthusiastic advocate for Milwaukee’s business community, and this promotion recognizes his achievements and impact,” MMAC President Tim Sheehy said. “Advocating on behalf of metro Milwaukee’s business community is a critical aspect of the value MMAC delivers to its member companies and business leaders every day, and we are proud to have Andrew leading those efforts.”

Prior to joining MMAC, Davis managed stakeholder and external relations for Governor Scott Walker, served as Reince Priebus’s political director, and worked for State Senator Alberta Darling. He also worked in the marketing and communications department of the National Republican Congressional Committee. He is a graduate of St. Norbert College with a degree in political science.
