Independent Business Association of Wisconsin: Presents “Success on the menu”

Milwaukee, Wis. – February 4, 2021 – The Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) hosts “Success on the Menu:  Lessons Learned Building A Family Business.” The program will be held on February 18, 2022, 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the Wisconsin Club, 900 W Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, Wis. A plated breakfast will be served.

This month, IBAW executive Steve Kohlmann will go one-on-one with Cousin’s Subs CEO Christine Specht, and discuss lessons learned on this wildly successful family business, and what it will take to continue its path forward under economic and employment challenges.

Steve Kohlmann said, “Running a family business is one thing, but Building a family business is quite another. Cousin’s Subs started in 1972 when two cousins, Bill Specht and Jim Sheppard, set out to bring their favorite style sub from the east coast to their new hometown of Milwaukee. Today, Cousin’s Subs has added to its footprint in the Midwest with locations in Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota with more expansion on the way.”

IBAW members will meet for an in-person meeting at the Wisconsin Club. Note that advance registration is required. Seating will be limited at this event. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.

Since 1973, the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) was formed for small business owners to engage in conversation relating to legislation impacting the bottom-line costs of businesses throughout Wisconsin. IBAW is a venue for high-level CEOs, CFOs, COOs, other upper management, and entrepreneurs to network, exchange business ideas, and become educated and involved on issues that impact their business. IBAW is time well spent!
