Milwaukee, Wis. – August 5, 2022 – The Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) hosts “Law & Order – Rising Crime & Its Impact on Our Society,” with Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson. The program will be held on August 19, 2022, 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the Wisconsin Club, 900 W Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, Wis. A plated breakfast will be served.
This month we’ll talk to Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson on what crime trends he is seeing at the local level as well as nationally and discuss ways you can protect yourself, your loved ones, and your business.
IBAW executive director Steve Kohlmann said, “You’ve seen the headlines, news stories and videos on Twitter and other internet media. Crime seems to be everywhere, and it doesn’t matter where you live. Violent crimes, carjacking, robberies, physical assaults, home break-ins and more.”
Is crime really on the rise or are we just more aware of it because cameras are everywhere? What crimes are most prevalent and why are they taking place? What needs to change and how can we protect ourselves?
IBAW members will meet for an in-person meeting at the Wisconsin Club. Note that advance registration is required. Seating will be limited at this event. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
Since 1973, the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) was formed for small business owners to engage in conversation relating to legislation impacting the bottom-line costs of businesses throughout Wisconsin. IBAW is a venue for high-level CEOs, CFOs, COOs, other upper management, and entrepreneurs to network, exchange business ideas, and become educated and involved on issues that impact their business. IBAW is time well spent!
