MILWAUKEE – The Findley Foundation of Milwaukee has received an honorable mention in the 2022 BlueJeans by Verizon Customer Awards.

The awards salute customers who have developed impactful methods of deploying Verizon’s BlueJeans video solutions to transform the way they collaborate, communicate and get work done.

Findley received honorable mention in the Most Successful Hybrid Work Transformation category.

Dr. Stephanie Findley, board vice chair of the Findley Foundation, said the Verizon BlueJeans technology platform has provided crucial assistance in the operation of the Findley Medical Clinic in Milwaukee.

“We’ve been using our BlueJeans platform for our weekly staff and board meetings and for virtual telehealth services, including consultation with primary care providers and mental health specialists. We also use it to virtually deliver alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) treatment services,” Dr. Findley said. “Ensuring access to our mental health services is especially critical during a crisis. We had, for example, a case of a suicidal client that led to a commotion and the police responding. Through BlueJeans Meetings, we counselled the client and successfully prevented the attempt. So, BlueJeans Meetings has been a real jewel for us.”

“Workplace priorities have come a long way over the past few years, with collaboration and connectivity making their way to the top of the priority tech stack,” said Chadd Thompson, global head of marketing and customer experience, BlueJeans by Verizon. “Experiences are driving the workplace of the future, and our customers are at the forefront of leading the transformation that will help to drive business and society forward.”

Since opening in response to COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Findley Medical Clinic has provided more than 4,000 vaccinations and booster shots to segments of the Milwaukee population that tend to be uninsured and underserved. In addition to COVID vaccines, other services provided by the clinic include primary care, urgent care, case management, behavioral health, medication management, family planning, laboratory services, food resources/pantry, housing resource, vocational training and more.

Fifty-five percent of the patients served by the Findley Medical Clinic are Black, Hispanic, Asian or Native American. Many would not otherwise have access to health care.
