American Payroll Association: Local organization named chapter of the Year by American Payroll Association

WISCONSIN – The Greater Milwaukee Chapter of the American Payroll Association (APA) has been named the APA’s 2022 Chapter of the Year. The award was presented on May 9 by the APA at the 40th Annual Payroll Congress.

The Greater Milwaukee Chapter received this award in recognition of its excellent efforts to educate local payroll professionals and serve its community. The chapter was established in 1994 and has 110 chapter members. Its accomplishments included holding monthly virtual and hybrid educational meetings for its members, coordinating a statewide event, and assisting in monthly community service.

“The Greater Milwaukee Chapter is very successful, with passionate and enthusiastic leaders for the past 28 years,” said Dan Maddux, executive director for the American Payroll Association. “They set a high standard for other local APA chapters to follow.”

This is the third time the Greater Milwaukee Chapter has earned the Chapter of the Year award. The chapter earned its first award in 2015 and again 2020.

The annual Chapter of the Year award recognizes one local chapter of the APA that has gone above and beyond in its educational, networking, and community service efforts. Only one chapter from the APA’s 120 local affiliated chapters receives the prestigious title each year.

The award was presented by the APA at its Payroll Congress in Las Vegas, Nevada. For more information about Payroll Congress, visit www.apacongress.com
