Milwaukee Press Club: Virtual trivia returns!

How about another virtual trivia smackdown?

The Milwaukee Press Club will hold its third trivia event with our resident Guru and host Milwaukee Journal Sentinel sports reporter JR Radcliffe from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 28. Journalists, public relations professionals and others are encouraged to form teams and participate.

The event will be held via Zoom, and proceeds will go toward the Milwaukee Press Club and the MPC Endowment.

The MPC Endowment was established in 1973 to promote the advancement of journalism excellence. The endowment carries out its mission by providing scholarships to students, funding journalism-related education programs and establishing its own funds, including the Don Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Eric Miller PantherVision Scholarship Fund, the Tim Cuprisin Memorial Fund and a scholarship fund in honor of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Meg Jones. A new fund was launched in September in memory of former Milwaukee Sentinel editor Robert H. Wills.

To participate in the Milwaukee Media Smackdown, register here with a team of up to eight peopleTeams should come up with a team name to use at registration. If you do not have a team, MPC can place you in a team.

Sign up early, the last event was a sell out!

An early-bird price of $10 per player is available until 11:59 p.m. October 25 for MCP members and $15 for non-members. All registrations after that are $20 per player.

Questions will be asked through a Zoom conference, and teams will be able to discuss and answer within breakout rooms. Knowing that the COVID-19 quarantine doesn’t provide many people the opportunity to get together, the press club will give teams ample time to discuss questions and socialize within the breakout rooms.
