Light the Hoan: Announces new fulfillment partner and creative manager

MILWAUKEE  – Light the Hoan announced today Melissa Thornton Kuykendall as their new fulfillment partner and creative manager. In her new role, Kuykendall will be responsible for customer communication and the development and fulfillment of Light the Hoan merchandise, including a new line of Light the Hoan apparel launching today.

Kuykendall, a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), worked in marketing and advertising for ten years before becoming an entrepreneur, founding MilwaukeeHome in 2011. What started out as a t-shirt project for herself and her friends turned into an iconic brand built for the Milwaukee community. Melissa sold MilwaukeeHome three years ago, and is eager to continue to leave her mark on this city with Light the Hoan.

“Milwaukee is a place that my soul is connected creatively to so I am excited to be back playing, creating, and being involved again in Milwaukee. And what better way than to be a part of the Light the Hoan team,” said Melissa Thornton Kuykendall.

“We are thrilled to have Melissa join the team,” said Michael Hostad, Co-founder of Light the Hoan. “Her passion for Milwaukee embodies what Light the Hoan is all about and our team is looking forward to the many things to come from our partnership.”
