Lakefront Brewery: Assists local bars with its beerline barleywine

MILWAUKEE (April 8th, 2021) – Some of the best barrel-aged liquid crafted is Beerline Barleywine by Lakefront Brewery. And usually, the Brewery would bottle up the limited, highly-sought-after beer and sell it at Lakefront for big bucks. But because of the pandemic, and the troubles seen by our local tavern community, Lakefront Brewery is using the barrel-aged favorite for good.

Lakefront has bottled up over 100 cases of Beerline Barleywine in 12-ounce bottles and has sold them all for only a dollar-a-piece to local bars.

“It’s our intention to let the bars have all the profit,” said Lakefront President, Russ Klisch. “We sold it to them for a dollar-a-bottle but are encouraging folks to purchase those same bottles for $20. If we can’t help them out with beer, we can’t do anything!”

Lakefront Brewery’s Beerline Barleywine is 13.4% abv and has been held in rye barrels for over 3 years. It boasts flavors of toffee, molasses and figs. Lakefront asks its fans to give even more than $20, if they can afford it, to help out their friends.

Find it all over Milwaukee at bars and restaurants.
