La Crosse Distilling Co: Releases barrel-aged eggnog stout

(LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN, NOVEMBER 10, 2021) La Crosse Distilling Company is pleased to announce the launch of the third volume of their Woodpecker Barrel Series, You Serious, Clark?, an eggnog beer. Patrons will be able to purchase bottles of this limited edition stout beer beginning on Saturday, November 13, 2021 exclusively at the tasting room. This series will feature a variety of limited edition, barrel aged beers, handcrafted by head brewer, Graham Kaczmarek.

This barrel aged cream stout enjoyed fourteen months in our spent rye whiskey barrels. The mellow complexity that came from this aging process left us with the perfect canvas to create this holiday delight. With spicy overtones that conjure up laughter from the past and excitement for the future. This tasty treat is a celebration of what has been and what will be. don’t you go falling in love with it now because this is a limited release.

Kaczmarek has focused on brewing these barrel aged beers, taking advantage of the spent barrels from the whiskeys, bourbons and brandys. Graham has previous experience working at Odell Brewing in Fort Collins, CO and Forager Brewing in Rochester, MN before joining La Crosse Distilling Co. He has also brought with him some very unique beer recipes including his dill flavored pilsner, which has become a favorite as a Bloody Mary side car.

Graham shares, “Growing up in Wisconsin I have fond memories of my grandma making Tom and Jerrys and the laughter in the house as we all gathered for the holidays. As a kid eggnog always fascinated me. This is my attempt to merge this timeless classic with some of our barrel aged stout and hopefully be a part of the joy that comes this time of year. Cheers!”
