Kahler Slater: Announces partnership with Wisconsin Youth Company

(MADISON, WI—March 31, 2021) Kahler Slater is excited to announce that it has chosen the firm’s 2021/2022 community partner organization. Kahler Slater has committed to a two-year partnership with Wisconsin Youth Company in Madison, Wisconsin as part of its corporate core value to give back to the communities where they live, work and play. Kahler Slater’s two-year partnership program began in 2013 in an effort to form relationships and have a deeper impact on the community.

Wisconsin Youth Co.’s mission is to engage youth in opportunities that encourage them to be their best selves. The non-profit organization provides high-quality programming to kids beyond the school day throughout Dane and Waukesha Counties. Programs include before and after school, 4K wrap, summer camps, Middle School U, Wander Wisconsin, and non-school days and break programs. Wisconsin Youth Co. works to positively impact children by providing a safe place to nurture social and emotional skills and create positive character development.

“Our mission is to provide children with opportunities to be their best selves and to thrive beyond the school day. In order to accomplish that goal, it takes a community. We are thrilled to have been selected as Kahler Slater’s 2021-2022 Community Partner and look forward to working together to provide children and families with the resources they need to grow, play, and thrive,” said Emily Wills Wisconsin Youth Co. Fund Development Coordinator.

Kahler Slater’s Madison office will kick-off this two-year partnership by creating display graphics to be used at the Southwest Madison Woodman’s, where Wisconsin Youth Co. has an established partnership to help families during COVID and beyond. “We are honored to be partnering with Wisconsin Youth Co. to support their mission of engaging youth in opportunities that encourage them to be their best selves,” said Kelly Gaglione Kahler Slater Executive Vice President. “Over the next two years, we hope to make significant contributions through ongoing volunteering activities and make a positive impact on the lives of families in our community. We know we grow stronger as a firm, and as individuals, when we are engaged in programs that give back to our own local communities.”

The two-year community partnerships are a firmwide initiative allowing Kahler Slater to develop long-standing relationships and establish multiple ways to donate, volunteer and support each organization. Kahler Slater’s Milwaukee office is collaborating with COA Youth & Family Centers, which helps Milwaukee children, teens and families reach their greatest potential through a variety of educational, recreational and social work programs. The Richmond office is partnering with Boys & Girls Club of Metro Richmond to support and empower young people, especially those from historically marginalized communities, to succeed in life. The Chicago office is working with My Block My Hood My City who provides underprivileged youth with an awareness of the world and opportunities beyond their neighborhood.

Previously, the Madison office partnered with other local organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Community Action Coalition, Clean Lakes Alliance, and The Road Home Dane County.
