Back On Broadway: Farmers’ market on broadway

GREEN BAY, WI – The 18th annual Farmers’ Market on Broadway presented by Investors Community Bank will officially be back on Broadway this year. On Broadway, Inc received confirmation that their special events permit for the market and their proposed plan has been approved by the City.

Last year, the Farmers’ Market on Broadway was delayed in opening and was hosted at Leicht Park to adhere with city and health department guidelines. The change in location presented challenges and heavily affected the vendors and businesses that rely on the success of the market.

This year the Farmers’ Market on Broadway will be modified to help create a safe environment. Vendors will have set guidelines to follow, and booths will be spaced apart. Patrons are encouraged to wear a mask, practice good cough and hand hygiene, maintain 6-foot distancing and to keep moving throughout the market.

“We are so grateful to be back on Broadway after a tough year last year at Leicht Park. Being back on Broadway is incredibly beneficial for our vendors, local businesses and the community,” said Allie Thut, Director of Special Events, On Broadway, Inc. “It has been great working with the city in planning this event and it is nice to now be able to move forward in planning this year’s market.”

The vendor application closes at the end of the day tomorrow, March 26th so all produce, prepared and packaged food and art and craft vendors that are local to greater Green Bay are encouraged to get their applications in immediately.

The first market of the 19-week season is Wednesday, May 26 and will run every Wednesday afternoon, rain or shine, through September 29. Market hours are 3 – 8 p.m. through Labor Day, and 3 – 7 p.m. after Labor Day.
