Milwaukee Magazine: Our commitment to local businesses

As local businesses continue to feel the economic impact of the pandemic, Milwaukee Magazine has launched two programs to help. First, the new Stimulus Program is a $50,000 commitment to help small businesses attract new and returning customers. The magazine will match, dollar for dollar, funds invested by the business to support their advertising efforts. To be eligible for the matching funds, businesses must be locally owned and operated and follow an application process found here.

Additionally, Milwaukee Magazine has launched an “Open for Business” online directory that will allow users to find info on local businesses that have recently reopened. The free directory will cover categories across all marketplaces, including, but not limited to: restaurants and bars, salons and spas, shops and retails stores, museums, theaters and performing arts centers, medical offices, private practices and more. To get your business listed in the directory, simply click here and submit your information.

“Our local businesses are what make Milwaukee such a vibrant and growing city,” says editor and publisher Carole Nicksin. “We can’t wait around and see if these businesses are going to sink or swim. We need to step up and help now, today.”

For 38 years, Milwaukee Magazine has built one of the most loyal and engaged audiences any local magazine has seen. We’d like to thank YOU, our readers, followers and partners, for all of the support you’ve showed the magazine. Let’s continue working together to rebuild our community and support our small businesses.
