Milwaukee, Wis. (Nov. 10, 2020) – This week Mayfair Mall announced the launch of a new line-queuing system “Spot Holder” ahead of the holiday shopping season. The platform not only adds an element of convenience for shoppers faced with potentially lengthy wait times at retailer stores but acts as a safety measure by eliminating the need for shoppers to stand next to one another in line. Spot Holder was developed in partnership with Waitwhile, a global queue technology company.
With new 25 percent capacity restrictions recently reinstated in the state, Spot Holder makes it possible for both small and large stores alike to keep their doors open, while controlling the flow of customers that come through their doors. This makes social distancing and continued access to retailers possible within Mayfair Mall.
“Over the past six months, we have been focused on continuing to deliver outstanding experiences for our shoppers despite Covid-19 related challenges,” said Chris Jaeger, General Manager of Mayfair Mall. “Through the implementation of Spot Holder, we’re able to provide both our retailers and shoppers a platform that delivers a safe and efficient environment for shopping, especially as we head into the holiday season.”
Upon arrival to participating retailers, shoppers will join a virtual waitlist by providing their name and phone number. Shoppers will be able to track their place in line in real-time, allowing them to grab a cup of coffee or visit another retailer until their turn to enter the store comes. When it’s time to return to the store, Spot Holder will send a notification to the phone number provided, ridding shoppers of the hassle of waiting in line. Shoppers may also plan out their visit from home by making reservations ahead of time on the mall website.
