Blain’s Farm & Fleet: Annual Toyland is better than ever

Janesville, Wis. October 15, 2020 – In just a few short days, Blain’s Farm & Fleet’s Toyland opens, kicking off a cherished annual event at every location. This annual event brings a magical holiday shopping experience for parents and kids while allowing Blain’s Farm & Fleet to give back to the community with toy donations.

Officially opening October 17th at 7 am, Toyland and the Kids Helping Kids toy drive run through Christmas day, helping make wishes come true and spreading holiday spirit for families in the communities that Blain’s Farm & Fleet serves.

“Toyland began as a way for my dad, Bert, and uncle Claude, to say thank you to their friends, family and neighbors by transforming a portion of the store into a magical Toyland,” says Jane Blain Gilbertson, Blain’s Farm & Fleet Owner and President. “My dad used to say that every child deserves to have a Merry Christmas, and especially since this has been a tough year, we are here to support each community and help provide a memorable holiday to all families.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for shoppers and retailers alike, but Blain’s Farm & Fleet is determined to provide families a Happy Holiday with a fun, safe Toyland shopping experience. The Toyland tradition continues with additional precautionary measures, including requiring masks for all customers and associates, frequent cleaning and disinfecting of stores, upholding social distancing with directional aisle shopping in Toyland, and much more. Shoppers can visit  farmandfleet.com/COVID19 for a full list of measures that Blain’s Farm & Fleet is taking at this time.  Customers will find special Toyland deals during the opening weekend of October 17th-18th, to help everyone get a head start on their holiday shopping. In addition to these deals, the first 150 customers who make a $40 in-store purchase will get a free Melissa and Doug Mini-Puzzle Pack. Toyland features something for everyone by featuring amazing deals throughout the store in every department. Customers can also enter to win a $3,000 shopping spree in a no-tough sweepstakes during the opening weekend. Additionally, until December 11th customers can create a wish list on the Blain’s Farm & Fleet App for a chance to make their wishes come true by winning the value of their list, up to $500.

Toyland is also an opportunity to give back to the community. Shoppers are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy by placing their donations in the Kids Helping Kids bin on their way out of the store. Blain’s Farm & Fleet will match those donations by donating toys up to a total retail value of $200,000 across all store locations. Blain’s Farm & Fleet is proud to continue this tradition to help give a Merry Christmas to kids in the local communities they serve.

“Toyland has been a Blain’s Farm & Fleet tradition for more than 60 years, and we take great pride that our neighbors have made it a cherished part of their own holiday traditions,” says Kristin Stewart, Blain’s Farm & Fleet Chief Marketing Officer. “The holiday season is a chance to show our friends, families, and communities how much we care for them, and to teach our children the joy of giving. Our annual Kids Helping Kids toy drive helps reinforce the importance of community by showing kids and families the generosity of their neighbors, especially in times of need.”
