Sedgwick: To expand its presence in Madison area and hire 75 colleagues by next year

SUN PRAIRIE, WISCONSIN, May 1, 2019 – Sedgwick, a leading global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, is boosting its presence in the Madison area, hiring 75 new colleagues by the end of 2020.

The Sun Prairie neighborhood, located in Madison, was specifically chosen by Sedgwick for its well-known, insurance-driven community. The location offers Sedgwick the ability to expand its presence in the area, invest in the local community and strengthen its existing technology solutions and offerings. The area is attractive because of its close proximity to diverse talent pools afforded by the surplus of universities nearby.

With the expansion, Sedgwick is set to build a new Auto Center of Excellence. This facility will house claims professionals focused on administering claims for new and emerging insurance products in the Auto Liability & Insurtech markets. As claims continue to change, evolve, disrupt and reinvent, the new office will lead the way in providing innovative solutions for virtually all types of employers and organizations.

“We find Sun Prairie to be a great fit with our business strategy and an ideal location to establish our auto-focused campus. We have forged meaningful relationships with nearby institutions of higher education, such as University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison College and Edgewater College,” said Kurtis Amble, AVP of Strategy & Innovation at Sedgwick. “At Sedgwick, we are committed to staying ahead of the curve as business needs evolve. Our Auto Center of Excellence gives us access to energized candidates who are entering the claims industry to gain a deeper understanding of the insurance sector and those we serve.”

The new Sun Prairie hires will be joining a growth-driven company with 22,000 colleagues in 65 countries. Sedgwick offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, generous paid time off, growth opportunities and professional development and tuition reimbursement. Sedgwick bolsters a diverse, caring and progressive culture with a true commitment to their colleagues’ needs.

In order to fill the first 50 positions, Sedgwick will be holding a career fair for prospective colleagues. The career fair will take place on Wednesday, May 1, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at 1 QBE Way, Building 100, Sun Prairie, WI, 53596.
