APPLETON, Wis. (August 17, 2017) – To help local small businesses address concerns and identify solutions for their social media initiatives, the Fox Cities Chamber is providing a hands-on workshop to provide education and best practices about utilizing platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. These social media platforms, when executed effectively, can grow your business and create a stronger presence for your organization online. The workshop, open to Fox Cities Chamber members and non-members, will be comprised of three sessions in order to cover the degree of information for each social media platform. Sessions are scheduled to occur September 20, 27 and October 4. Registration is now open at foxcitieschamber.com.

The workshop provides small and mid-sized businesses across the Fox Cities Region with in-depth information from experts and empowers attendees to leave with turnkey solutions and tools that can be used immediately within their business. “Social Daze”, the upcoming three-session workshop, will provide education about how to effectively use social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Attendees will walk away with strategies and tactics that they can deploy within their business immediately.

The “Social Daze” Workshop will be facilitated by Chris Burns, Director of Business Development at BConnected, LLC. This Workshop is intended for anyone who operates or works for a business that has a product or service to sell. Attendees should have some basic knowledge and experience with social media and should already have business pages on at least one or more social media platforms. The education will be tailored to the novice-to-intermediate user as well as anyone seeking to amplify their social media efforts. One lucky attendee will be selected to participate in a social media “deep dive”. The team from BConnected will analyze two social media pages from that business and highlight the current strengths and weaknesses of their social strategy.

“The “Social Daze” Workshop will expose attendees to some of the tactics and strategies we use with our clients. Attendees will have the opportunity to utilize those tactics during the presentation in real-time. You’ll also gain valuable knowledge about current trends. When the workshop is complete, attendees will have a good understanding of the following: what makes each platform different; how to create quality content; how to create a content calendar; how to be more effective and how to reach more people on social media. You may be one of the lucky guests who will be chosen for our social media deep dive as well,” shared Chris Burns, “Social Daze” facilitator and Director of Business Development at BConnected, LLC.

Visit the Chamber website for complete details of the Fall workshop, being hosted at Miron Construction in Neenah, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.on September 20September 27 and October 4. A one-time registration fee and process is available online at foxcitieschamber.com.  The “Social Daze” workshop is open to Chamber members, members of other local chambers and non-members.
