MILWAUKEE – BelAir Cantina, a Mexican-fusion restaurant famous for its tacos, tequila and
fresh ingredients, announced today that it will partner with Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Eastern Wisconsin on its newest Powered by Tacos charity fundraising
campaign.

BelAir Cantina is committed to every community in which they operate and each year selects
a local nonprofit organization as that year’s “Powered by Tacos” partner. Together with BelAir
executive chef Noe Zamora, members from the charity help create and name a custom taco
of their very own, which is featured on BelAir’s menu for six months. The signature taco is
available at all BelAir Cantina locations.

The proceeds from the specialty taco go to support the selected organization, with a
guarantee that the organization will receive a minimum of $25,000. Past partner
organizations have included the Wauwatosa Skate Park, the Urban Ecology Center and
Playworks. In total, BelAir has raised more than $100,000 for its partner organizations.

“We are delighted to be chosen as this year’s Powered by Tacos charity. The proceeds from
this taco will help renovate the 3 rd floor long term kitchen that was not part of our recent
expansion project,” shared Ann Petrie, President and CEO at the Ronald McDonald House
Charities Eastern Wisconsin. “It was so much fun to work with Chef Noe to create the
perfect taco – we think people will really enjoy it, especially knowing it will benefit our
families”

This year’s Powered by Tacos taco will be called “Catchin’ Hope for RMHC.” In conjunction
with BelAir executive chef Noe Zamora, Ann Petrie, President and CEO of Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin and Board Chairman Gary Zimmerman helped to
create the custom dish. It includes macaroni and cheese, seafood, corn salsa and more.

“Our Wauwatosa location has a longstanding relationship with the Ronald McDonald House
and our team has held car washes and other fundraising events for the organization over the
years. We are really excited to spread the love across all of our locations,” stated BelAir
Cantina owner Kristyn Eitel. “Our criteria for choosing a Powered by Tacos organization is
that we want the dollars raised to have an immediate impact in our community, and we not
only see the impact the Ronald McDonald House Charities has on kids, but also the families
it serves.”
