WAUKESHA, Wis. (May 11, 2016) – MRA-The Management Association was founded in 1901 by innovative leaders from 23 Milwaukee, Wisconsin, businesses who were convinced that through pooling information, exchanging ideas, providing educational programs and conducting meetings – all through a voluntary association – employers could collaboratively solve problems and improve employer/employee relations and productivity. One hundred fifteen years later, MRA continues to help businesses thrive by solving HR challenges. Headquartered in Waukesha, Wis., MRA has regional offices in Palatine, Ill., Moline, Ill. and Plymouth, Minn.

“Whether it’s to help with recruiting and employee engagement, or developing employees to build a powerful workforce, our mission has always been to help our member companies solve the challenges of their ever changing business environment,” said MRA President and CEO, Susan Fronk. “We provide programs and services specifically focused on our members’ needs.”

MRA’s many longtime member companies, including Charter Manufacturing Company, Inc., Briggs and Stratton Corporation, Echo Inc., Mar Cor Purification and the George Evans Corporation are a testament to MRA’s many years of helping organizations thrive.

MRA’s longevity is due in part to its ability to provide products and services when, where and how member companies need it. MRA provides a 24/7 HR Hotline allowing members to obtain information at any time, day or night. MRA also provides members the latest information, resources, survey data, and guidance for recruiting, compensation, benefits, compliance and talent management. Additionally, members are supported with management and leadership training.

Celebrations commemorating MRA’s 115th anniversary will be ongoing throughout 2016.
