Governor Scott Walker Delivers Remarks at Business Day in Madison 2016

Madison – Governor Scott Walker addressed state job creators and business owners today at Business Day in Madison 2016, which was held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.

“Wisconsin has seen tremendous growth in the past year and the state of our state is strong,” Governor Walker said. “More people are working in Wisconsin and our Labor Force Participation Rate is 68 percent – 5.4 points higher than the national rate. We also finished the fiscal year with a $135.6 million budget surplus. We’re focused and committed to building a stronger Wisconsin than the one we grew up in and we will continue to invest in our priorities to ensure anyone who wants a job can find a job.”

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) is a lead sponsor of Business Day in Madison 2016. Founded in 1911, WMC is one of the state’s leading business associations dedicated to making Wisconsin the most competitive state in the nation.
