MILWAUKEE – Sprouted grain bread leader Angelic Bakehouse today announced that its certified kosher, Sprouted Seven-Grain bread will become available in select Costco locations in the northeast this week. In addition to the three Pittsburgh area locations that are already carrying the product, nine Costco locations in New York, New Jersey and Maryland – including Brooklyn, Rochester and Gaithersburg – are carrying the seven-grain bread.

“From our inception, Angelic has received overwhelming support from the kosher community,” says Jenny Marino, CEO and president of Angelic Bakehouse. “We are thankful and proud of this support and thrilled to now be able to bring our products to a much larger kosher audience with our expansion at Costco.”

Angelic Bakehouse’s production facility, process, and sprouted grain breads are certified kosher and Pas Yisroel by OK Kosher Certification. Angelic’s expansion in Costco will bring a new level of convenience to health-conscious consumers abiding by the kosher dietary requirements.
“I have been eating Angelic Bakehouse products for over seven years,” says Rabbi Avermi Schapiro. “I was looking for something that was delicious and good for you, but most importantly, it had to meet the highest standards of kosher. This combination is impossible to find. Once I found these products, I knew I would never eat another bread again. I literally travel with it in my suitcase.”

Angelic’s Sprouted Seven-Grain bread is also Non-GMO Project Verified and free from known allergens such as eggs, dairy, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts and soy. With each slice totaling 60 calories and 1.5 Weight Watchers SmartPoints*, this bread is also popular among dieters.

“Our proprietary sprouted mash process results in a purer, more nutrient-dense, and most of all better tasting product,” says Marino. “Today’s consumers are turning the food industry on its head. They demand better ingredients, less processing, and higher nutritional value without sacrificing great taste. Our sprouted grain products give them that, and more. It’s the result of the care we use in crafting this unique ingredient which is made fresh for every batch.”

Angelic Bakehouse’s Sprouted Seven-Grain bread is sold at Costco in a three-loaf bulk package for $6.79 – providing Costco members with a significant value at $2.26 per loaf when compared to regular retail prices that average $4.50.
