Wisconsin Grocers Association: Kussow promoted to executive vice president

Madison – The Wisconsin Grocers Association (WGA) has promoted Michelle Kussow to the

position of Executive Vice President.

“During her tenure at the Wisconsin Grocers Association Michelle has met and exceeded the

goals and objectives as the Vice President of Government Affairs & Communications,” said

Brandon Scholz, President & CEO of the WGA. “We know that will continue in her expanded

role with the WGA.”

Kussow joined the WGA as Manager of Government Affairs in 1997 and over the years was

promoted to Vice President of Government Affairs and oversight of Communications was added

to her responsibilities as well.


The Wisconsin Grocers Association is a statewide trade association represents more than

1,000 independent grocers, retail grocery chain stores, warehouse suppliers and distributors,

vendors, suppliers, food manufacturers, convenience stores and food brokers who employ

over 66,000 people and generate more than $6 billion in annual sales in Wisconsin.

Independent grocers in Wisconsin pay more than $960,000,000 in wages and pay more than

$880,906,100 in taxes.
