Bucks fans invited to vote online for their favorite player-designed hat
The Milwaukee Bucks today announced a unique new partnership with the New Era Cap Company to create an exclusive line of player-designed headwear. Dubbed the “Bucks x New Era Player Edition,” this first-of-its-kind partnership between the industry leader in sports headwear and a professional franchise gives Bucks fans a rare glimpse into the players’ off-court style and creativity.
“New Era is extremely excited to work in collaboration with Bucks Pro Shops to create the ‘Bucks x New Era Player Edition’ contest,” Josh Krebs, Category Manager – Basketball at New Era Cap Company said. “This is the first time we have launched a program like this and are already seeing the energy from the fan base. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner than the Bucks, beginning with the players and their excitement and creativity to where we are now in launching this exclusive line of hats.”
To develop the “Bucks x New Era Player Edition” line, New Era invited four Bucks players into the design lab to work with their professional designers to create a Bucks hat that would capture each player’s unique style and personality. New Era’s team worked to bring the players’ concepts to life, creating a collectible line of hats that will be sold exclusively in the Bucks Pro Shops this fall.
Beginning with tonight’s preseason game vs. Detroit, fans will be able to vote for their favorite design in arena at the New Era stand on the 200-level concourse or online at www.bucks.com/newera. Voting will remain open throughout the Bucks preseason, and five lucky fans who vote for the eventual winning design will be randomly selected to receive the winning hat autographed by the Bucks player who designed it. All four hats will go on sale exclusively at the Bucks Pro Shops starting on Opening Night when the Bucks host the New York Knicks on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
