Janesville, WI – In response to the announcement by Ann Walsh Bradley that she will seek a 3rd term for the Wisconsin State Supreme Court, Judge James Daley made the following remarks:

“In the weeks ahead, I look forward to a campaign which highlights the differences between my judicial philosophy and my opponent’s. My 26 years experience as a judge and 36 years in the military, obtaining the rank of Brigadier General, will allow me to be an independent and decisive arbitrator of the law. I have a proven record of deciding cases on facts and precedent and using the constitution as a guide.” said Daley.

Daley began his legal career in private practice before he was elected Rock County District Attorney in 1985. In 1989 he was appointed to the Rock County Circuit Court by Governor Tommy Thompson and continues to serve as the Chief Judge of Wisconsin’s 5th Judicial District. Daley’s military career included service as a Marine in Vietnam and ended 36 years later when he retired from the Wisconsin Army National Guard with the rank of Brigadier General. He is married to Shirley and they live in Janesville where they raised their four daughters.
