Racine, WI. June 23, 2015. Thomas M. Bolger,
President and CEO of Johnson Financial Group
today announced the appointment of Mark C.
Behrens as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Johnson
Financial Group and Johnson Bank effective July 1, 2015.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Behrens has been with the company for
more than 30 years. He most recently served as President of Johnson Insurance
Services. During his tenure, Behrens has also held a series of roles in Banking, Corporate
Finance and as Chief Operating Officer of Johnson Insurance.
“Mark has an intimate knowledge of our company, our culture and our people,”
said Bolger. “He understands how far we have come, but as importantly, where we
need to be positioned in the rapidly changing competitive environment of the future.”
In a related move, Michael Derdzinski, has been named interim President of
Johnson Insurance as the company begins an active search to find a new president for
the agency.
“Mike will provide a bridge of consistency and continuity for both our clients and
our associates to help accomplish the transition without losing our momentum,” added
Bolger.
Derdzinski is a long-time veteran of the insurance business and has served in
various leadership roles within Johnson Insurance, most recently as Senior Vice
President – Director of Employee Benefits Group.
Behrens succeeded Judy Sutfin, who left the company in June after four years as
CFO. A resident of Union Grove, Wisconsin, Behrens holds a bachelor’s degree in
accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and a master’s degree in
business administration from Marquette University. He is a member of the Office of the
Insurance Commissioners P&C Advisory Council, member of the WICPA and a member
of the Board of Directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin.
