(Appleton, WI) Woodside Senior Communities completed a $15 million renovation and expansion to its Green Bay campus—adding dementia care and rehabilitation facilities—that will help meet the changing demands of the senior care market for the next 20 years. Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction Inc. led the campus repositioning, which was completed with two projects.

Project one, completed in fall of 2014, involved transforming an underutilized portion of the campus into a 20-unit memory care assisted living facility that would meet growing market needs. “The project included adding 14 new units to an existing six unit neighborhood that was also renovated,” said Hoffman director of construction services Kevin Madalinski. “Dining, activity and social areas and an exterior courtyard were also added to complete the transformation.” Project one also included renovations to one of Woodside’s skilled nursing areas, Primrose neighborhood.

Project two, completed in November of 2015, included the addition of a 49-unit rehabilitation center, Woodside Rehab. The center features a home-like setting, state-of-the-art therapy gym, private suites and dining, activity and social areas along with a new primary entrance to the Woodside campus. “Our goal from the start was to reposition our campus in order to expand and enhance the services we offer to meet the needs of the market for the next 20 years,” said Woodside Senior Communities executive director Scott Ross. “Our collaboration with Hoffman has helped us achieve this goal, and now Woodside is positioned to serve the residents of Green Bay and surrounding communities for years to come.”
