Residents to get a chance to see BTC’s new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center
JANESVILLE, WI – Blackhawk Technical College will celebrate National Manufacturing Day on Friday, Oct. 2, by offering BTC district residents free bus tours to its new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Milton.
National Manufacturing Day signals the beginning of Manufacturing Month, which is aimed at showing just how technologically advanced manufacturing has become since the introduction of computer-centric manufacturing techniques. Blackhawk recently completed its two-phase renovation of the former ANGI Systems building at 15 Plumb St., where all its Advanced Manufacturing programs are now housed.
Buses sponsored by Blackhawk Bank will leave from BTC’s Monroe and Beloit campuses. The Monroe bus will leave at 8 a.m. and stop at Kuhn North America in Brodhead at 8:20. It is scheduled to return by noon. The Beloit bus leaves at noon and returns by 3:30 p.m. Visitors will be treated to a presentation, tours and either lunch or breakfast.
Those taking off from Monroe are asked to sign up at tinyurl.com/MfgDayGreenCounty. Those from the greater Beloit area are asked to sign up at tinyurl.com/MfgDayBeloit.
The Monroe Campus is located at 210 4th Ave. The Beloit Center is located at the Beloit Eclipse Center, 600 Henry Ave.
