The Urban League of Greater Madison and Herzing University – Madison
Announce Educational Partnership
Herzing University – Madison and the Urban League of Greater Madison announced a new partnership to help serve the employees and members of the Urban League in furthering their professional development and educational goals. This unique partnership with the Urban League will provide a special scholarship to Urban League employees helping them lower the cost of a degree. The partnership also includes one full scholarship for the Herzing University MBA program per year.
“Employees will be able to take advantage of diploma programs, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degrees through the local campus. With the importance on education and finding a good career path, this aligns perfectly with the mission of Herzing University and the Urban League,” said Mollie Stolbov, Community Relations Coordinator at Herzing University – Madison. “The expense of college can be too much for some, and the scholarship can help alleviate some of that burden.”
The Urban League and Herzing University have a long history of working together and this new partnership solidifies the bond between the organizations. Both groups look forward to advancing the Madison community through education, training, and guidance on the path to personal and professional development. Vice President of Workforce Development, Inclusion, and Retention, Deirdre Hargrove-Krieghoff, believes this partnership will go far in advancing the opportunities for the organization’s members. “The Urban League is excited about continuing and expanding our partnership with Herzing. This kind of collaboration and action is exactly what we need to address the education, career, and advancement issues in our community.”
